After 6 years of griping and the realization that we don't have the $$$$ to gut our kitchen, I received a gift certificate from my husband for my birthday:
"A New Kitchen Floor"
Having floating cork panel floors going in tomorrow morning and should be done by Friday.
Yay! I'm giddy, dammit and I just had to share it!
If I can figure out how to post some darn pictures I'll do the before and afters if anyone is interested.
I can't WAIT to see. I keep contemplating using cork but have not yet actually seen in installed in anyone's home. I need new floors in my living room and country kitchen and I really want to use the same material, but I don't want to put hardwood in the kitchen and I don't want tile in the living room. The cork might work for both areas, I just need to see it done somewhere! Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your gift!
Ok gang. The floor is done, except for one tricky threshold which the guys are going to install today.
As soon as the husband returns from latest business trip ( with camera cable) I will upload the pictures.
It looks waaayyy better than I thought it would. It is soft, and warm, and looks so good that the room even seems bigger!
cheers!
i'm sorry!!! I haven't been able to resize the photos for CD upload....i'm on a mac.
got any ideas?!
Thanks
