What do you think? I have kids and I have 17 drawers in my kitchen. Cost is roughly $400. We do manage to close the drawers on our own (how did we get along before this technology ;0)

We should be in this house for 10+ years. Are they easy to install? Is it worth the money? Do you have them? Like them? Notice the ease of use or no big deal?

Thanks!

We used to sell thousands of them. Now most cabinet companies put the Blum soft closers on the drawers as standard. The doors still remain an option but are purchased seperately and field installed by the Cabinet Installer.

Personally I think it's a bit of a waste. To me it feels like one of those ultimate options for the most wealthy among us who just like to waste money on frivious luxurys. I'm saying that despite the fact that I make money selling them.

All our base cabinet drawers in our showroom have them. We have 4 on doors just to show people what they are. Before being standard, most people ordered them on the drawers and not the doors. Still now that they are standard on drawers, few order them on doors.

Blum is of the best quality in drawer guides and hinges by far. You can buy the door soft closers at Louis & Co. Every city has a location. You will not find these at the big box stores. The guides are a bit different. If you have an undermount Blum guide then you just purchase an add on piece that clips right on to get the soft close. If you have side mount guides then you can not have the soft closers. The drawer box is made differently in order to accept the undermount guides.

Expect to pay $8 each for the doors and $28 each for each drawer.

Default oh, thanks 4 the input

Didn't know they made them for the doors. Who knew? I actually might be interested in that. Kids slam the doors constantly. Thanks for the input.

I think they're pretty sexy. And sexy is always worth the money.

For the doors they are a one screw add on. Any joe with a screw gun can put them in. It's a little gadget that mounts on the inside of the top rail on the hinge side. It has a little hydralic button. Like I said, they are not nearly as popular a the soft close drawers.
