Is paint using on stucco come out with different color/outcome than normal surface i.e soffit, side board, etc...

Reason for asking was the color that we chose based on a color code that we see from a model home (stucco) and want to duplicate this but they just painted just the soffit of our house and color look nowhere near what we thought it would be. We then double checked with the builder and they said it is the right/same color code.

Lighting really changes color. If your soffit is not oriented the same as the stucco you looked at, it WILL be quite different.

Simply the difference between absorbed, reflect, and refracted light.

This^^^^
Trim is relatively smooth versus the stucco- both will reflect/refract light differently- hence the "appearance" of different colors.

It's great to know and that make us feel better now. I think the outcome on Stucco will be better as we went back to the model home again and still love that color. If nothing else. we will just change the color on the soffit to a different one. Thank you all!
