I often hear to go with the lighter shade of a color on a fan deck to allow for flow in a house. I think this sound like a great idea..problem is when I look at Putnam Ivory for example (which is in our FR and LR), it seems to be the lightest shade? Am I looking at this wrong-does anyone know what the lighter shade of this is or how it works with BM fan decks? This is for our hallways..

ETA: the subject should have read Putnam Ivory, sorry!

You can create lighter shades of a color by dividing the recipe.
In other words use a 1/2 recipe for a gal, or 2/3rd a recipe (But it doesn't work with RED for obvious reasons!)
