My son stands watch tonight, but he and his shipmates are going to live stream updates on the score. When the Wings won in '98, he had just recieved his driver's license and had an old Topaz to which he had attached a boat horn. I let him drive around to share in the reverie that night, with me riding shotgun, of course. He tells me he has already informed his CO that he plans to go up to the bridge and blow the horn on his cutter when the Wings win tonight (and then write himself up on a chit). I am waiting to see the picture where they ran a Red Wings flag up the mast. You can take the boy out of Detroit, but you can't take the Red Wing out of the boy! Go Wings!
Been a good series, fitting it comes down to the final game. What sucks is that after this, there will be no more hockey til September when pre-season starts. The playoffs go by too fast.
Here's hoping for a good game, and possibly an Overtime game tonight!
