Federov is one I can think of. He's still a solid player even though he's turning 40 later this year. Won the Selke with the Wings while he had over 100 points at the same time.

Joe Sakic, no doubt about it. One of the best two-ways centre's in NHL history, and the best still playing. I also think of Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk, Jere Lehtinen, Chris Drury, Mike Richards, Sergei Fedorov, Jonathan Toews, and Rod Brind'Amour.

Ranger fan that I've been I always had great admiration for crosstown rival Brian Trottier as a great all around player.

I'm an Islander fan and i'd agree but no one has still mentioned a two-way player that could compare to Cam Neely.

I think he was one of the few with a 99 rating on NHL 95

its a tough call, because to be good at one, you will sacrifice the other. I would have to say plus minus is the best indicator. (best defense is playing in the other teams end of the rink). Discounting defensmen, the top Plus Minus leaders (career) are

Gretzky
Bobby Clarke
Guy Lafleur
Brian Trottier

current player
federov at 13
Lehtinen at 34
Elias at 37
Datysuk at 43
Tanguay at 44

too bad we dont have these stats for the old timers.
