Makes no sense. Is anyone in this state qualified to judge talent or run a team at the top level? All our best players end up on other teams getting their names on the cup. We get a constant string of has been Canadians and Russians around here who are just here for the paycheck. Beyond sick of it 20 years after the expansion Wild played their first game.

Not true. You have the avg. Just a couple years ago you had Coyle, Suter, Donato,Staal, Parise and Dumba the Kneeler.

Michigan produces a lot of hockey players yet Detroit won Cups with majority of Canadians and Europeans on the roster. It is all about management on the bench and the front office.

OP thinks that Minnesota has some sort of divine right to hockey championships, like they're privileged or something

The Wild signed their death sentence when they gave Parise and Suter those long-term contracts.

Best Minn talent arent playing because they want to desperately play in Minn. Wild dont have much history, and not original six team. Its just not a glamorous place to play.

AZ has produced Auston Matthews, and I bet that trend continues.

Anders Lee, Brock Nelson, Brock Boeser, Jake Guentzel, are chasing the money, and will go where they are traded/drafted or will pay them the most.

My son played with Guentzel when the were squirts. He was nothing special back then. Boy did that change.

We need some real hockey people in this organization. Everything they do they are just trying too hard, and it’s not like they are cheap like the Twins.

I know someone who played with him too when they were younger. Supposedly he was quite an arrogant prick.

That said, the guys I knew that eventually made it pro were nothing special when we were playing as kids/teens. The ones who WERE special, surprisingly, didn't go far. The few who did go pro either ended up being moved from ECHL to AHL and back, before eventually going to play in Sweden and France, while one other (whose name I shall not mention) got drafted in the first round some years ago for some ungodly reason, and performed poorly for a few seasons while being shipped from team to team, before eventually not making the cut during camp, and being forced into early retirement.

The hockey hot bed of Tampa Bay, Florida has just won their 2nd Stanley Cup and appear to be doing everything right. Meanwhile the Wilds continue to fail year in and year out in spite of their apparent holy anointed destiny. Are the Wilds the only team to have never won?
