It looks like the Wings are hitting full stride, and if they do, it will be darn hard for any team to deny them the Stanley Cup!

I'm kidding...though we did spend some pretty pennies back then.
Actually if you look back at the years leading up to the lockout, the majority of the players that were acquired were done so through trades. That's because Ken Holland is a badass businessman. Granted, many of them ALREADY had hefty contracts, but it's not like we were just throwing money out there to get people over here *coughcoughTigerscoughcough*.

But hey, there's no cap in baseball so more power to them.

You anti wings fans are just mad because the red wings are consistantly great every year. Thats how we made the playoffs 17 years in a row.

I was at the home opener and 2 Wang fans (chicks) a section to the left of us were obnoxious. It got to the point where they wouldnt even sit down. Everyone was yelling at them to sit down and they actually gave us the finger, thats when all Hell broke loose. Security came and told them to sit down and they STILL REFUSED. Thats when they got ejected and our whole section began singing "sha na na na, sha na na na, hey, hey, hey, goooodbye". Ive also seen numerous fights break out between DET and CHI fans at many games. And the whole octopus-chucking thing has to stop, at least here in Chicago. Its stupid (and against stadium policy).
There are fools of all kinds in the world, you shouldn't base your opinion on a handful of idiots. You should come to Greektown and have dinner and then go to the Joe and see a game. I am sure your opinion would change.

Me too! I really want to go to a game but $130ticket, $50gas, $5parking, $15food=$200. That's a ton of money for a 2.5 hour hockey game.

You hit a nerve there. That is one of my major pet peeves. They have priced regular joe's out of it! (not even including babysitter, etc.!)

Isn´t there a bus stop or a subway stop near the arena?
Can´t you eat dinner at home before the game?
That would save some money.

Tis is true, food at any Arena is expensive, like $7 for a hamburger the same size you can get at McDonalds. Ridiculous!

Ohh yeah, Celebrating post #600. A milestone for me!!
