Technically, the Erhoff deal isn't really a trade; the Isles only have exclusive negotiating rights until Friday, I believe; I'm confident that he'll be heading to free agency ( look for Detroit to make a strong play, to replace Rafalski).

And Erhoff is on his third team of the day. Islanders just dealt him to Buffalo.

Again, just for negotiating rights; I strongly suspect that he's waiting to hear about an offer from Detroit; I could be wrong, but it's just a hunch..

Alberts re-signed in Vancouver for 2 years..
