This was posted in the Michigan forum as well. Slightly different story; gave the names of the cats, Dewey and Watson. Hmmmmm....... maybe for Melvil Dewey of the Dewey Decimal system? John Dewey, then-comtemporary philospher and educator? Commodore Dewey? Thomas A. Watson ("Come here Mr. Watson, I need you)? Dr. Watson of Sherlock Holmes fame?
