Anyone here ever heard of Hallelujah Acres, diet program raw and organic food for Christians?

I have a friend who is really into it. I have considered it, except affording all those organic fruits and veggies on a fixed income will be very hard.

Anyone into this? {I ordered their book recently}

Live and raw foods are great ... not just for Christians either.
Also, the higher the level of nutrition and energy in a food source, the less you need of it.
No empty calories, no junk, soda, etc., etc. which costs a fortune and is just useless in terms of nutrition and it's harmful as well.
Eating raw and live foods is do-able even on a budget.
It's just a big shift that may take awhile and if you wanna make that raw food interesting it does take time and energy.
Also, many raw food people treat it as a panacea ... a cure all and they become very rigid and "puritanical" about eating only raw food.
They can be fanatical and dogmatic and hyper fearful about cooked food.
I do not think that this is healthy.
So, just stay in balance.
Here's a link to a raw food site that i've used over the years.
www.sunfood.com
Also, here's a link to a conversation with Dr. Gabriel Cousens about food, raw food, healing, etc.
Interview with Dr. Gabriel Cousens

It's the same raw food stuff that was just re-branded with religious words spaced throughout it to make non hippies okay to buy it.

Well, actually, there are many Christians of a certain "type" that, for there own particular reasons, resonate with a raw food diet.
I'm not sure why this is however.
I think there may be some biblical reasons ... references in the bible?
I dunno.
The O.P. might know.
And it's not just hippies and Christians that are into eating raw/live foods.
It's not raw food "stuff" ... it's just food ... ya know ... like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, etc..
One doesn't need to buy any of the fancy and expensive foods (like at the sunfood site) in order to eat a raw food diet.
And I believe Dr. Gabriel Cousens is an Essene for what that's worth but i could be wrong about that too.
