I hope to be back after 5 days (3 school days & the weekend) but don't know if I'll feel up to it, so I put in for a week off. Please let me know how these types of surgeries went for you. Thanks!

I underwent nasal valve collapse surgery on December 19, 2017 and septoplasty to correct a deviated septum.
The operation took about four hours. My surgeon opened my nose by cutting through the skin between the two nostrils which gave him access to my septum and the inner structures of my nose.
I woke up in the recovery room and i could breathe through both sides of my nose for the first time on my life!
My surgeon put stents into both of my nostrils and an external stent holding my nose in place.
The recovery was difficult for me because the inside of my nose began today swell and I could no longer
Breathe through my nose. So, I was unable to sleep well until all three stents were removed nine days later.
In addition to these procedures, my surgeon opened up my sinus cavities,
This was my fourth sinus surgery and sixth procedure. However, this operation was the only one that was successful as I can now breathe through both sides of my nose with no problem!
The only complication was that the anesthesia caused my bladder to go to sleep and I needed a catherer in order to void my bladder.
I am very glad that I had the surgery done.
