Has anyone had cataract surgery? I'm considering it and would like to hear about the experience that others have had with it.Was it painful? Could you read without glasses after the surgery? Do you ever wear glasses any more?

Yes, I had cataract surgery. It was not painful, not even after. It also corrected my eyesight. It was the best thing that ever happened to my eyes because my vision was way over 20/1000. They could not correct it but to 20/400 because they didn't have a lens that strong, but then I had lasic, and now i am 20/25 and 20/40.
