I was diagnosed with a Baker's Cyst, which is too much fluid in the knee which herniates out and presses on the nerve at the back of the knee.
So, I had a cortizone shot in it last week and it seemed to help a bit, but not much. Yesterday, all of a sudden, it started hurting a lot more and I cannot put any weight on that leg unless I carefully lock the knee straight before I put weight on it.
What the heck is going on? I have mild arthritis in the knees, but no other injury. I've had an MRI, so I'm sure there is nothing hiding that the dr doesn't know about.

What kind of pain is it, sharp burning or dull ache???? Advanced or acute nerve pain is usually sharp.........arthritis is usually a dull ache.

Did the doctor take an xray of the spacing between your upper and lower knee bones (cartilage spacing), that should tell you a lot.

If you have existing inflammation that could be a lot of the problem, when that goes down you should get a better picture of what is going on.

I just found this old post. Since that time, I've had cortisone x4 and Euflexxa once. Between the two things, my knees are hanging in there.
