My cousins daughter is at a residential facility for ptsd and she was told insurance would cover the whole stay which would be a few months but now only a few weeks in insurance abruptly stopped paying and she was told it would be $1500 a day to keep her there. Just seems far fetched?
30 Days is sort of the "Normal" Coverage On Most Policies.
You would need to check the actual policy to see what the limits are.
Question is "Who" told her it would cover months? Even if it was the CSR at the insurace company who said, Like the IRS, they would default back to what the policy said, not what one of the CSR said.
Yeah I don't know. It's all strange because she has missed so much work for her kid and now more work since she has to get her so she won't be charged. $1500 a day seems a bit much?
I'm assuming by residential facility you are talking about drug or alcohol rehab. Yes, there are limits to what is covered under most policies.
