Hey all, new to site. Relocating to Portsmouth this summer and looking at houses.

I asked this question on another forum and haven't heard much so found this!

I really like the feel of Portsmouth and was hoping for some info on Waterview. I spent a couple weeks in the area last few months and drove through a few times and it was gorgeous.

100 Rockbridge Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23707 MLS# 1004847 - Zillow

Saw that house online which is right where I want to be for price, and in what seems like an awesome neighborhood and located great for me. (will be working at Maryview)

Link didn't work... But not important. I'm really more interested about the neighborhood.

What is that across the street. It looks like some sort of run down apartment complex?

Waterview is very nice. It is extremely quiet. My wife and I have lived here for 5 years with no issue. We have a working Neghborhood association as well.

That apartment complex is pretty nice and quiet as well - it is on the edge of Waterview and separates the neighborhood from Maryview Medical Center.

I have a friend who lives in that area...he has no complaints. Portsmouth gets a bad rap, but there are some nice areas, like that one.
