The last I saw was Flock of Seagulls at the beach, we were just $faced. A great time was had by all.

I've been to Meona.net, Virginia Pilot and Ticketmaster, but haven't found anything.

The best somewhat recent event was when The Fixx came to Portsmouth in 2008. I had also heard the B-52s came not too long ago.

You can usually count on Busch Gardens Williamsburg to host numerous bands each summer. Last year Foreigner, Kansas, Loverboy, Little River Band, 2008 brought Peter Frampton, Rick Springfield and more. Concerts were free with admission to the park. They have announced that the Summer Nights Concert series will continue on in 2010 with the new ownership ( Blackstone)

Speaking of music from the 80's, to those of you were lived in Hampton Roads during that time, hopefully you may be answer this question....

What happened to the two then-big top 40 stations in Hampton Roads? In 1988 Z104 and WGH-FM "97 Star" were tops. Great ratings and even well respected in much bigger markets..however by 1991 WGH had gone country quite suddenly while Z104 went urban, rather suddenly as well. I have seen threads and posts about this and the possible reasons why on other sites but none of those posters are/were from Hampton Roads so to the locals...what happened to WGH and Z104 that got them out of top 40 music very quickly when they both were very successful at doing that format in the first place?

Used to love K-94, WMYK 94, Love Broadcasting, from 1000 feet above Earth,
out in the woods, from the 100K watt Dismal Swamp tower."
