I was wondering if anyone knew exactly where Newport News and Hampton come together, I have tried looking it up with no luck.. My brother and i were debating on if there was a Jefferson Ave in Hampton or just in Newport News

Pull up Mapquest and look at 664, roughly exit 4. The dividing line crosses there, and you can trace it to the water and the other direction until the border with York County.

I had to trace the street myself, but I didn't see Jefferson Avenue in Hampton at all. It starts right at the northern part of MMBT in Newport News and heads roughly NW until it crosses Yorktown Road and shortly becomes Merrimac Trail. Looks like it's all in N. News.

There's a map at http://www.newport-news.org/files/do...Map%202005.pdf that shows the city boundaries.
