Hi. My boyfriend and I just moved here a few months ago, and he wants to get back into surfing. He hasn't lived at the beach in over five years. He is used to waves like in Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Is there anywhere in the hampton roads area to surf? We live in Norfolk.

Also, on a side note, I was kinda nervous about moving here because of all the negative threads on this board, but I can say that so far I really love it!

Yeah, most of the comments on this board are really negative for no reason. I really don't know to many people that talk about HR like the poeple on this website lol. I love it too.

Some of my friends that surf claim South Beach is best. It has a surfer only zone and usually plenty of parking. Just south of Rudee inlet and north of the amphib base.
