Really? We had gotten a gift card to Trader Joes one time and while on the other side, stopped in and got some stuff. I like their produce, but the other stuff just didn't get me all riled up.

You know what? I have been to trader Joes once over in NN and I wasn't that impressed... maybe I needed to go in there carrying more cash?

Cind...that's the one we went to. Never heard of Trader Joes til we got the gift card. I heard people talk about how great it was, but I was not impressed either.

They have the best lamb and smoked salmon in the area. Their frozen fish selection is great and has the best prices in town for what you are getting. They carry 2 buck Chuck, a very very good everyday wine that is like 3 bucks here (some places 2 but it is more expensive in VA). They have good olive oils and we love their Indian selection.

I'm a HUGE Trader Joe's fan (especially the wine)!
We usually go to the one in NC, when were up there visiting.

I"ve been waiting for one and thought I heard one was going in the
new Landstown Shopping ctr. but so far haven't seen one - bummer.

I love the fish, frozen meals and WINE!

Let's hope we get one soon.

When I was in the store last weekend I asked the cashier when they were opening up more stores. He said they are opening two more, but both farther west, nothing coming over on this side of the tunnels. Not sure how much that cashier knew but .. oh well I guess - at least for now.

From what I understood, they were having trouble getting a suitable sight in Virginia Beach. You know, VB is sort of odd when it comes to independent anything, my experience is that the govt thinks they are in control of everything.

I would love to see a TJ's here. Also an Aldi would be nice. They are both owned by the same company.
