I am assuming that this is the Maryview that Spazkat9696 posted about.

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center
3636 High St
Portsmouth, VA 23707
757-398-2200

and

Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View
Harbour View Health Center
5818 Harbour View Boulevard
Suffolk, VA 23435
757-673-5800

"The Health Center at Harbour View operates as a department of Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center."

I read in the paper today that Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center received an award from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services for not having a single case of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) in more than eight years.

That may seem like a strange thing to honor, but apparently it's a fairly big deal. The article said these infections add between 4.5 and 5.7 billion dollars to the annual cost of healthcare in this country. No other hospital in the US can claim eight years without a VAP.

No, mostly the Sentara machine. 9 primary doctors and 4 GI doctors, in 3 different practices.

Ive got a couple "We have exhausted our capabilities and can no longer treat you further, and wish you luck" letters, but no answers. However, my parents and myself have put out thousands repeating the same tests over again several times.

Sorry to hear you have a mystery ailment. If it makes you feel any better, you're not alone. By the time you get to my age you'll have all sorts of mystery aches and pains and sensation that doctors never seem able to figure out. I've been to some of the best podiatrists and hospitals in the country--but some of them nobody's ever been able to diagnose. We like to think we know so much about medicine now that we're in the 21st century, but there's plenty we have yet to learn. Plus, doctors and hospitals aren't going to spend that much time on a single patient. Contrary to the silliness you see on tv shows, if you check in to a hospital--any hospital--you won't have a team of 20 highly trained doctors with nothing better to do than spend hours and hours to sit by your bedside or pour through medical books trying to figure out what's going on.

Is there any chance you could be referred to EVMS? They might be able to diagnose the problem. Just a thought.
