Hi all: I am trying to plan a visit there after Thanksgiving but not sure of a nice/inexpensive hotel. Any suggestions? Thanks....

So many up and down Richmond Rd
I like the Embassy Suites for their full breakfast. I had friends who stayed at the Marriott and didn't care for it. I have heard that the Holiday Inn is good. Some friends who come up from Fort Lejuene frequently do the Comfort Inn by Water World and it is nice.
I have stayed at the Greensprings Resort and liked it but don't stay at the Historic Powhatan Resort.

Just be careful not to book any of the older motels in town. Use Trip Advisor for feedback its typically very accurate. There are MANY motels in town that should have been closed down years ago.

Mr. Williamsburg makes a good point, but if I may, I'd say that there ARE some decent older inns in town, but you do have to use something like Trip Adviser to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I will concur that there are a few older hotels you would be happy with, my bad. Definitely check Trip Advisor as many have gone downhill recently. You will get what you pay for .
