I didn't see any indication that the prices quoted at Spinx are for cash. QT is cash/credit, so I'm thinking Spinx is probably the same. They were both at $2.99 this morning, then QT went to $2.98, Spinx followed.

I believe at Spinx, you pull in thinking the indicated price is the price, period. WRONG. If you use a credit card, the price on the pump is several cents/gallon higher than the huge number on their sign!

That's why I always pay with a debit card.

Dependent on which financial institution you are with, paying with a debit card may result in a point of sale fee for each debit transaction. In order to escape this fee, people pay more with credit than with debit. For a retailer, a credit swipe may cost more than a debit swipe.

You have to consider what your credit card rewards are too. If gas is $3.09 credit and $3.00 cash, but your credit card gets 5% cash back on gas you actually still come out cheaper using the credit card.

I will agree using credit cards are indeed cheaper than using debit cards from a consumer's view.

Now the question would be, where exactly would DK be going in if it does happen?
Since my wife's craving for a DK Peanut Butter Parfait, I had to figure out my fastest way into DK once it arrives. According to the website, the address is 112 North Main St., Mauldin. That makes it the old Burger King location. It seems that the building is taking shape since they started working on it last week. One good point, it won't be that hard to get in and out of that location.

At first I thought I was the one typing different than thinking! I saw last night that Tyvek has been pulled around the building. It doesn't look like a BK anymore! Can't wait for Orange Julius.

BTW I saw a DQ on Wade Hampton Friday somewhere between Greer and Greenville; sorry I'm not familiar enough with the area yet. It might be a long drive for some but the option is already in the area. Next time I go to Greer I am stopping in for an OJ!
