It appears the 38 acre site is on the market for sale. The slate is clean for new retail center ideas to emerge.

This site has changed owners but Windsor/Aughtry is still the selling broker. They have had interest but nobody willing to pull the trigger. There has been a lot of work done to make the property more usable. Understand it cost a wad to get rid of the beavers that kept damning up the creek.

GreerToday.com is reporting that Culver's will build a new restaurant in Greer, next to the new Aldi on Wade Hampton.

Between this and the new Cookout currently being built (both within 5 minutes of my house), I'm surely going to be fattening up

Yeah, there's a post in the Greer Retail thread on this.

Man, Greer has gone from a dearth of good hamburger joints to this in a few years. Can't wait. I hate going to Woodruff Rd just for Culvers.

Default Papa John's, 8000 Pelham Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29615-5742

Papa John's has been seeking to open a location in the Pelham-Batesville area. Its appeal to open a location at 8000 Pelham Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29615-5742 was denied by Greenville Spartanburg International Airport Environs Planning Commission as it would have been located along the extended centerline of the runway.

Everything on Pelham Rd near I-85 must be in that zone. How do they justify this denial?

It is not along the extended center line of the existing runway, but it is along the extended center line of the proposed second runway.

From Greenville Spartanburg International Airport's Environs page:
So what are "compatible uses"? Can you do anything with the land other than using it for timber?
