And? We live near/in the mountains. Shouldn't be a shock to anyone. If I saw one in my backyard, I wouldn't care or freak out at all. Not sure why people do freak out. Black bears don't eat humans and attack them very rarely. They eat berries mostly. They aren't even carnivores.
Thanks for the link. We haven't been in the upstate a year - had no idea there were so many! I'd love to see one here in Easley - from safe inside the house!
Last oct/nov we saw one out here in easley near 8 and 3 and 20 rd. At first I was not sure what it was then I realized. We are the rural area out here though.
There was a cub behind Shops at Greenridge a while back.
