I just heard this on the radio and I'm actually all for it. Nothings more annoying than a cigarette hanging out of a window or being thrown onto the ground. People are so unevolved and inconsiderate of others. Whats even worse are the ones doing it with kids in the car. Anyone who smokes are not only disrespectful to others, they don't even respect themselves or their own health. Way to go Greenville! Sorry to those offended.
Give us a link. I did a search and there is nothing coming up at all.
Yeah, and there's absolutely nothing on the city's website.

Sorry, but I keep laughing everytime I think about this. I can see it now. There will be piles of cigarette butts along the road at every "Greenville City Limits" sign. Nevermind, I just heard on the radio that city employees will be posted at the city limits holding ashtrays for those who wish to discard their cigarettes before proceeding into the city limits.
this is ridiculous, not all smokers throw their butts out the window you know, you can't impose a no smoking law in cars, cars are considered property just like homes in sc right?(we have to pay taxes on them so they should be) so if your on/in your own property, how can they fine you for smoking?? seems like a violation of rights to me, I doubt this will actually go into effect, if indeed it is real.
