Shops at Stanford Court is a retail center located on West Blue Ridge Drive between Bertrand Terrace and White Horse Road in the Greenville community in Greenville County, South Carolina. It is anchored by a drugstore, CVS #3886, and, at the present, a supermarket, Bi-Lo #5581.

Bi-Lo #5581 originally opened as store 281 around 1995. It replaced a store at Western Square, 3225-3227 West Blue Ridge Drive, Greenville, SC 29611-3905. It became store 581 after Ahold, then-owner of Bi-Lo, acquired Bruno's and changed the store numbers of several Bi-Lo stores. It became store 5581 after Bi-Lo acquired Winn-Dixie in 2011 and renumbered all Bi-Lo stores into the 5000's.

Bi-Lo #5581 is closing. It is projected to close by Tuesday, 24 August.

CVS #3886 origianally opened as a Revco. Like Bi-Lo #5581, this Revco replaced a store at Western Square, 3229 West Blue Ridge Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29611-3905. Revco became CVS after the acquisition in 1997.

It appears Bi-Lo #5581 has permanently closed over the weekend. It is not listed on Bi-Lo's website.

is there a need for another supermarket to replace this area? Or is Walmart Supercenter or Ingle's nearby?

Walmart Supercenter #641, White Horse Commons, 6134 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611-3837, and Ingle's #74, 6605 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611-2539, are within 1.5 miles of the now-former Bi-Lo #5581.

I do not see an additional supermarket participant in the trade area. It would not surprise me if Ingle's proceeds with the new store 74 at the northeast corner of White Horse Road and Berea Drive.

Correction: Bi-Lo #5581 was not originally store 281. It may have opened as store 81.

Bi-Lo #281 was located at 1962 North Columbia Street, Milledgeville, Georgia 31061-2093. It is now a Hobby Lobby.

Large apartment complex under construction across from Stanford Court behind the shopping center (name escapes me Western?) and QT. Surprised to see that as well.

Compare Foods appears to have closed its Shops at Stanford Court store. The store is not listed on Compare Food's locations page.
