Does anyone have any recommendations for dance studios near the Greenville area? I would be looking for dannce studios with tap, ballet, jazz, etc.; I'm not referring to ballroom dancing (though I like that too). I'm 23 and am a tap dancer. I would like to be able to find adult tap classes. It's kind of hard to find a quality studio that has a nice adult program.

Perhaps you should look up some of the places that offer dancing lessons and talk to the instructors. Even though they may teach only kids, I am sure that they probably love to dance as much as you do and know where to go for that. Good luck!

If I may jump in on this thread. Any advice regarding places for (intermediate/advanced) adult modern and ballet? The closer to downtown the better.

Hello again, kerry0402!

I definitely recommend checking out Upstate Carolina Dance Center in Powdersville. They have been doing a fantastic job for many years, and they do offer what you are seeking.

Newfuprof, I will see if I can locate a decent studio near downtown for you. There was one in the West End called, 'Next Step,' but they recently moved to another location that I haven't found yet. They offer everything you are interested in as well.

Default West End Dance has taken over The Next Step

The Next Step closed about 1 year ago. It is now West End Dance Company with a new owner and is right beside the new downtown baseball stadium. Upstate Dance is good but not in downtown Greenville!

You can the website here:
