I do not think this is a safe area but I may be wrong; let others chime in before you make a decision.

I've used apartmentratings.com before and it tends to sway toward people who have a complaint, but it doesn't look too good:

Rutland Ridge Apartment Ratings, Reviews, Map, Rents, and other Greenville apartments for rent from ApartmentRatings.com

Those reviews certainly don't sound good. I also believe that this is not far from the Waste Water Treatment Plant and sometimes it smells in that area.

Default need apartment opinions, please

myrc60 and Art123
Thank you both so very much. We will use the info you gave in our search. Hopefully, we will be able to find something appropriate for us. We are bringing a 4 year old male German Shepherd and a 2 year old granddaughter with us, since they are inseperable, so the choices are somewhat limited. We want a nice, clean place for her and we need a place for the dog, until we find our own home. Any suggestions anyone would have would be appreciated. It doesn't have to be an apartment, anything that allows pets and is a short term lease might work. We will use the website you provided Art123, it is very helpful. Myrc60 thanks for the pm..Bill and Liz

well, honestly. You could probably find a good house to rent depending on what you are looking to pay out. What's your budget?

Try anything along Butler Road or Hayward Road

Funny you should write that sojones... I just decided this morning that I would really prefer to rent a house. The thought of all the noise and parking ect. has me concerned. We are focusing on houses now. The most we would like to spend is about $800. We just need it short-term until we finally figure out exactly where we want to be. Looks like we will be down on Thursday or Friday for a rental-hunting trip. Wish it was for a purchase, but that will have to wait. If you have any ideas, please let us know...and thanks....Liz

My husband and I are living in Hollywood Fl, we hate it. Too expensive, too crowded, the people are rude, traffic is horrible and property taxes and home insurance skyrocketed to be as much as an actual mortgage. I may be able to relocate to the Westin Poinsett in Greenville Sc. Which are the safest neighborhoods for thse apartment complxes:
Polos at Hudson Corners 211 Hudson rd Greer, SC 29650or Candleton Village at 741 Woodruff Rd Greenville SC 29607
or even Beacon Ridge at 5 Crystal Springs Dr Greenville SC 29615.
