Do any of the nearby lakes have a dinner or sightseeing cruise?

You can hire a guide to take you on an unforgettable tour of scenic Lake Jocassee.

But to your question, no. I really think, that if lake levels were more consistent, that would be a GREAT idea for the region's largest lake, Lake Hartwell. There are already two nice restaurants at the Portman Marina in Anderson County.

I thought that would be a great idea. Even if you eat at one of the restaurants and board the boat after dinner. It could be so romantic. It could also be great for groups like reunions or company parties.

@ Skyliner, how do you go about doing that?

I did find this one @ Lake Lure but it's more just a party boat from the looks. The Beach at Lake Lure I was thinking a bigger boat that holds up to 100-150 people with maybe some dancing and drinks. Although, the one at Lake Lure still looks nice. It gives you a scenic tour and tells you about the history of Lake Lure.

You can take a small group (up to a party of 20) on a wine-and-cheese cruise around Lake Jocassee on the "Matriarch," a 57 ft., 1940s vintage Elco motor yacht. Wine and Cheese Cruises on Lake Keowee

On Lake Murray, in Irmo, you can book scheduled dinner cruises on the "Spirit of Lake Murray." The 80 ft. steel-hulled vessel is also available for charter. It can accommodate up to 85 guests for a sit-down dinner, or 110 for a cocktail reception. Lake Murray Cruises - The Spirit of Lake Murray - Home of The Spirit of Lake Murray

A little farther away, up in Mooresvile, NC, you can enjoy a scheduled dinner cruise on Lake Norman aboard the "Catawba Queen," a side-wheel riverboat, or the 90 ft. modern luxury yacht "Lady of the Lake." Both vessels are also available for private charters. Dinner Cruises : Queen's Landing - Lake Norman, NC

Greystone Inn at Lake Toxaway does an incredible tour in North Carolina. I highly recommend it.
