I need to get a new bed and don't want to spend an arm and a leg on it but want it to look descent. Does anyone have any ideas about descent furniture stores in the Greenville area?

I would check consignment stores. Really nice furniture for lower prices. I do not know of any off-hand..

Jasons is good(but no delivery). Furniture Marketplace on Augusta is where I go, both of those places make sure you negotiate though, the listed prices are not the lowest ;-)

We buy most of our furniture at 101 Home Furnishings in Greer. Locally owned. Family business. Every time we've been there, the family has had their two small dogs at the store with them. They'll deliver and take away your old stuff as well.

Prices are great . . . and they'll negotiate too!

I definitely would prefer to buy from a local company. And I really need someone who delivers.

If the Furniture Marketplace on Augusta is the store across the street from Old Colony Furnuture, I believe it is closed. (Not 100% sure of the name of the store but 100% sure the furniture store in that location is closed.)

Furniture Marketplace - Simpsonville, Greer, Greenville Lyman, Anderson, Greenwood, Upstate Laurens Furniture Store (http://www.furnituremarketplaceonline.com/ - broken link)

Check this thread - good furniture store in greenville?

I would personally say Up2Us by Haywood Mall and Unclaimed Furniture of 85 and Palmetto Home and Garden on Laurens. Not sure what they have up at the Lyman place, can't rememer the name, but 4 huge warehouses there.
