Anybody know what happened to PeeWee's Garage that was on Pendleton Street, next to Como Pete's Restaurant? I know a few years ago PeeWee got really sick and was not doing well. I briefly moved away, and when I came back the garage was gone. PeeWee got sick around the time the city decided to rename that stretch of Pendleton Street to S. Main Street, IIRC.
I really don't want to assume the worst, and I'm half afraid to ask this question because I'm afraid to know the answer if it's bad. Mr. PeeWee (as I called him) was always nice to me, always charged me fairly for repairs, never tried to get over on me by making up things that needed to be fixed, and his mechanics were top notch men as well.
I haven't been able to find any information since I moved back. I'm hoping that the garage moved, and that's all. Please tell me that's all...

I meant next to the Spero Pete's, not Como Pete's.
