Really? Because there are so many different types of ketchup bottles? Here you go. Yes, it's recyclable. And yes, when in doubt, recycle. Especially plastic, which will NEVER go away. Also yes, the number is on the bottom of the bottle. You should even be able to feel it - it's a raised triangle. Just curious, did you really wonder about the bottle, or did you just come here to argue with people?
IF you throw it away, it is in the landfill. If you recycle it, and they don't accept it for some reason, it goes to the landfill. But if you throw it away and it could have been recycled?
And not all know, never leave a cap on a recyclable bottle. I have been told they do not take the time to remove the cap, they just reject it to the landfill. Sorting is a high speed process, and they cannot afford the time to remove caps.
Seek advice from your city or recycler to learn which items may be accepted for recycling. Some recycling service providers, co-ops and recycling centers accept other plastic, metal and glass containers and cartons.
