I am seeing small ethnic and cultural wars and conflicts if this were to be attempted in the near future.
However 1000 years from now?
Humans as a whole may have sense if we do not eradicate almost all of our race with greed and stupidity.
Might work then.
Anyone who resists giving up their culture and language will have their head put on a stick to teach a lesson to anyone who defies the dream of world peace!
If this happened what would the world's armies and their suppliers do for a living? What would happen to all the time, effort and money spent on WAR? Where would all the ex soldiers go? What would happen to the PROFIT?
You would still need a huge army to keep the people in line.
And even with that, it would soon collapse.
Ever hear of the Soviet Union?
If the Soviet Union had ruled the entire world, do you think they could have dissolved their military?
Can you imagine the wars from revolution. It woud be the same as the suni/****e problem in the middle east. people yoo differwent do not agree and fight. Heck'people form different teams in sports fight;it the huamn in them just like animals instinits coming out.
So wouldn't it better if the whole world would be just one country?
1. There'd be no wars
2. It would be harder for terrorsists and and criminals to hide
3. Even if somebody will steal a lot of money, it will still remain in the country
4. Cooperation rather than competition (not the communistic kind of cooperation, of course but still - no stupid "be the first in space/on the moon racing".
5. No language barriers
6. No political conflicts
7. With official freedom of the world religion the religious tensions will fade.
Or is the world fine the way it is?
Where were have you been recently?
Just look at former Yugoslavia. One country certainly didn't prevent war, language barriers, political conflict, less religious tension.
People will never want to all live in the same country, for the same reason that several families don't all want to live the the same house and share the kitchen and bathroom. A nation is like a family, and the members of it want to isolate themselves from others.
