Can someone point out when it became necessary for free people to get permission (i.e. license) and register their property with the government before they could use it?
Just asking...

If you're using your car on your own proerty, you don't have to register. But when you go out on the public highways paid for by taxpayer dollars, a place where you have a high incidence of injury and death, guess you gotta play by some rules.

The metric system is a walk in the park, and you can always reach for the remote if soccer is on, but if cricket is introduced to the TV schedules, lock and load, and man the barricades, it will frazzle your brain, it makes walking down the street look exciting.

So you can be taxed of course and the taxes are used to keep you free, among other things. Besides, the taxes were needed to steal the land you live on from the Indians, people who were free but didn’t pay taxes to ensure their freedom.
