Since it is OK by me and as long as they take responsibility (financial for example), then yes they have the right.

The only way to stop somebody from killing themselves is by confining them. Other than that, suicide is a basic human right, that no government has any way to stop. You can write all the laws against it you want, but there is no way to enforce them.

Whether is is moral or justified is a personal decision. Nobody else gets a vote.

Default It's a personal matter!!!

We euthanize animals because it is the "humane" thing to do, but argue of all the reason a "human" should suffer due to religious/spiritual/legal "morality". Unless you are the one who is suffering, you have no say in the situation. As an oncology nurse, I've watched cancer slowly eat away at many people, including my own mother and my own son (both deceased from the disease) and let me tell you, the suffering endured in the most "inhumane" thing I've ever witnessed...when you are not the one enduring the suffering, it's quite easy to sit upon your high horse and say what's "moral" or "immoral".

In answer to the question...a resounding YES!!! Dying with dignity in cases of terminal illness is definitely a person's right!!! In the end, it's a PERSONAL choice!!!

Under the right set of circumstances, I will do it whether anyone thinks it is my right or not. I will NOT enrich the medical industry when I am desperately ill. I will not go into a nasty nursing home so I can live in my own filth.

I love my dog to put him down when it becomes too much for him to exist. I love myself enough to do the same.

Government has no business in that aspect of my life.

I absolutely support assisted death and frankly doctors do it all the time. Just a little more morphine.

Anyone, being of legal age, who wishes to end his or her life for whatever reason should not be hindered from doing so.

Zymer, I can't see how there would be any "hindrance", unless of course they expect someone else to do it for them.

And what if they are PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE of committing suicide WITHOUT assistance?

What then?

It depends on the beliefs of that person.

Those who believe in God don't have that right. We believe that God gives us life and he is the only one who should take it away.

Those who don't, I guess have the right.
