Hi, we are a newly wed couple and we are currently stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC and are planning to move to Georgia witin a year and a half. we have a 2 year old daughter and would like a place that is very nice, fun but safe for our baby, lots of family activities in or around the city, community play groups. We are also looking for a diverse community ie. religiously, culturally, and racially. Would like to be close to Atlanta for the entertainment as far as profesional sports and amusement parks and zoo's etc. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Areas north of Atlanta include Kennesaw, Cartersville, Marietta, Alpharetta/Roswell, Cumming, Suwanee, Dacula, Duluth, and Buford. If you live north though, I don't know what you mean by "close to Atlanta" but you'll have at least a 25-40 minute drive, except for maybe Marietta. Check out those areas. Gwinnett County is the most diverse County in Atlanta area, and very family oriented, with good schools. (This county includes Suwanee, Duluth, Dacula and Buford, also Lawrenceville)
