Smile Hey

It's a great place to live. Four colleges, three major hospitals, three rivers, has a great downtown, it's in a beautiful valley surrounded by hills you can see from most places in town, has a great victorian district, a thriving music scene, a large outdoor community with plenty of trails and parks, and is constantly improving. The local government is very receptive to citizens through the city webpage. Downsides would have to be the crime rate, although it is extremely localized in a couple of bad areas, and traffic is beginning to be a problem on the main roads. But as far as a place to live, I moved from the Atlanta area and have lived in several states breifly in the Eastern U.S., and I will never move again.

Rome is a great place, like Georgiafrog said it has alot of businesses and hospitals. You can live right in town or if you want to live in the country, it is very close to town. Rome also has some very WONDERFUL schools. Darlington School is there and people from all over the us send their children there.
