Intersting thread to me...This is one of the main reasons I want to get out of Small Town Mid Michigan, too many Conservative minded idiots who believe since we elected a black man, our guns our gone, our freedoms soon will be, and we will be destroyed be Afghanistan. (Sadly I'm talking about most of my family)

Right now I'm in a college town so it's not quite as bad, but my hometown, and everywhere else around here is way too Conservative for me.

L.A. bound in 2011.

Rural, western Colorado can be extremely liberal.

I would say most all of New England as well. All but one county in New England went for Obama during the last election, and that was a very rural one in Maine. Even then, it was only by a few percentage points.
