I am an independant contractor looking to relocate to one of the following areas: Phoenix, Denver, Atlanta, Dallas/Ft Worth, Seattle, Portland or Vegas.
I am wondering what the the IT industry is like in these cities for consultants. Is there plenty of opportunity? What types of positions are more common eg, BA, PM, QA, Dev? What are the bill rates like? Also, is there alot of vendor mgmt in these areas (ie Chimes systems)?
I am also curious as to who some of the top employers are for consultants in these areas.
Any information you can give me to help make my decision easier would be awesome!
Thank you!!
washington is hot for the IT industry with microsoft and other businesses there. Google is just expanding into the area also.
