What are your favorite state license plates? Least favorite?

I like the classic California license plate, but the ones with the palm trees & sun images. But the regular California plates (just white background & red slanted words of 'CA') are boring.
I like the Kentucky one with the smiling sun. I don't find that corny at all.

We have appealing state plates here- I don't like the blah ones I see overseas.

If you're like me, you haven't seen all the states' plates. Given the topic question, I figured perhaps I should see them before declaring a favorite. Here's what I found in a Yahoo search: Pictures of Current State License Plates.

Of course, this doesn't show all the specialty plates. For example, I know Wisconsin has several different plates dedicated to different causes (I can't remember what right now, but trust me, they do ). But the site cited above will at least let you (and me!) see the standard plate for each state. You can click on each individual plate to get a bigger view.

Enjoy!

Oh! I forgot to say which plates appealed to me, personally. I like Alaska's and Maine's. Delaware is sort of bland (the plate, not the state!).

Is it me or does the Massachusetts plate example say something slightly naughty?

Personally, I think simpler is better. Most of the license plates these days are too "busy" for my tastes. Quickly looking at that chart, I like Kansas' the most I think.

I like the new Texas plate that was just voted on--it isn't in circulation yet that I know of.
