Here's a good one for everyone. Take the best qualities of all the cities you know and combine them into your perfect city.
For me I would take, NYC cultural institutions and public transportation
San Francisco's topograghy
Houston's friendly people and job market
Rochester NY summer weather and Miami winter weather
Chicago's architecture and food
Boston's sport teams success
The outer banks beaches
Philly's suburbs
Los Angeles colleges
San Diego political climate (moderate lean toward conservative)
Denver's outdoor activities
Seattle music scene
So for me this would equal my perfect city, how about everyone else? BTW, this is NOT meant to be a bash fest!

I like sprawl...so the Sprawl of DFW since LA is getting denser.
??? For the world wide service and coverage by many airlines or for the facilities themselves? Most of the terminals at LAX (save American, Delta, and United's Terminal which are better) are still stuck in the 1960's and are overcrowded. I'm thinking you must be talking about the extensive route network, correct?
the futuristic look of seattle,
the greenery of portland,
the topography and uniqueness of san francisco,
the stunning spanish architecture of santa barbara,
the entertainment of los angeles,
the weather, palm tree covered foothills, and mexican food of san diego,
the vibe of the las vegas strip,
the pride of texas,
the mountains and ski/snowboarding slopes of denver,
the lakes of minneapolis,
the sportsfan loyalty of green bay,
the supertall high rises of chicago,
the warm beaches of miami,
the theme parks of orlando,
the southern charm of charlotte,
the politics of washington d.c.,
the vibrancy, cultural food, cultural activities, tradition, financial district, nightlife, public transportation system, skyline, bridges, bustle, midtown, sophistication of new york city,
the universities and sports teams of boston,
and the gargantuan scenery of alaska!
i'd be set for life! Jesus needs to hurry up and come back
NYCs downtown size combined with Chicago's architecture.
The topography of Albuquerque, NM.
Pay scale of NYC with Houston COL.
No cookie cutter homes, no big box stores.
Nightlife of L.A. mixed with lack of celebrities like, say, Providence.
Summers like Santa Fe, NM, winters like Miami, FL.
Cultural like NYC with the safety of Madison, WI.
In all honesty, when I consider my perfect city or place to live, I always think of Naboo, with beautiful green country side and amazing architecture. It would be a quick commute on a starfighter to the historical and business locale of Coruscant, which also has quite a happening nightlife scene.
