Cost of Living Where a single person on a good wage would be able to live without having to share an apartment with roommates.
Crime Preferably a city with little crime but I don't mind a city where crime is exclusive to certain neighbourhoods and only in small pockets rather than citywide.
Nightlife I abhor clubbing. My idea of a good night in is doing bong hits, watching Netflix, and falling asleep listening to music or alternatively going to a bar with my friends and attending an indie rock concert.
Politics Centrist. More left wing than right wing.
Religion Not religious. Atheist.
Weather Like rainy and overcast days but also like the sun every now and then. Hate dry heat.
Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, and Denver will come the closest. Denver and Austin aren't going to be perfect matches in terms of weather. San Francisco and Seattle are much more expensive but might be worth it.
If you can find suitable work there, then Asheville NC meets all your requirements. I mention it because of the weather. The Great Smokies and the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, Portland) are the rainiest spots in the country IIRC, both being in actual rain forest climates.
I agree with cityl Asheville is a very cool city, I would highly recommend it , one of the best new new brewing and arts areas in the country and a ton to do. or downtown raleigh/chapel hill/carrboro area. I would also say beacon hill seattle is alot more affordable than you think, I lived there for a year until moving back east for work . I loved it
What is a "good wage" and what is your field of employment? Cities like San Francisco, Seattle and Portland OR will require roommates if you do not have the right job at the right wages. Otherwise they match your criteria.
