And for reference to the question in the OP, the "a" sound in "Marry" in the YouTube above is how the "a" in "Aaron" is pronounced. You have to open your mouth.
The names are pronounced however the bearer of the name insists they are. If someone's name is Aaron and they pronounce it as "air-in" and you say their name as "air-on" or "ahr-in", they'd simply correct you. Likewise I'm sure someone in the US actually pronounces their name as "ay-ron". There's not really official pronounciations when it comes to personal names these days.

True, and that's how both are pronounced for me. Could be partly the fact that he first became famous in Milwaukee with the Braves (and later the Brewers), but he spent the middle of his career in Atlanta and I'm not sure how that goes in terms of pronounciation.
