The census bureau definitions are a hundred years old. Nobody considers Delaware or Maryland southern.
Again, what does that have to do with which states are "South Atlantic?" Virginia falls within most definitions of "Mid Atlantic" and practically all definitions of "South Atlantic."
Those are probably my choices as well, but really, it comes down to the individual city or area. Most of those states are too diverse to generalize by their state borders (except maybe SC, due to its size).
True. In my case, it would be NoVa or Charlottesville for VA, Atlanta or Savannah for Georgia, RTP or Charlotte for NC, Miami or Tampa for FL, and Columbia or Charleston for SC.
Why did you mention Delaware and Maryland? They are the Mid Atlantic States. If you include those 2 states you might as well include the southern one-thirds of New Jersey which includes Atlantic City.
I was born and raised in GA and have lived in many other states, easily the worst state I have lived in and yes the elitism there is much more noticeable than elsewhere in the south and even the entire country. Unless you can refute it or provide counter examples quit quoting my posts with your nonsense replies. Florida may have its issue so might other states but GA is in a class of its own, worst state in the south to be in.
