Liberal small towns? (real estate, prices, estate)

What are some liberal small towns in the U.S. that also have low or decent real estate prices?

Seems as though most the small liberal towns attract so many people, the real estate in many is out of reach.

Perhaps Oberlin, Ohio...........i just know it's small and liberal.......don't know much else.
