What do yo think are the most eccentric cities in the US? Obviously, NYC would be one, but what other cities would you consider to be incredibly accepting and encouaging and celebratory of peoples' creativity, differences and quirks?

Seattle and Portland, OR ... with Portland having more of a "quirk" quotient than most.

Heck, you can even get quirky donuts in Portland!

In my mind the most eccentric city would be LA. I've never been there, but that's how I have SoCal pictured.

I don't think of any of the above as being eccentric. To me, the only real eccentric city in the USA is pre-Katrina New Orleans.

Santa Cruz is weird while San Francisco and Berkeley are cliched.
