$2.15 in Birmingham, Alabama. Or, to be more precise, in Irondale, Alabama. There's a ten cent difference in gasoline tax between those two municipalities.

Paid $3.09 in Anaheim the other day. Amazed that gas is like 10-15 cents cheaper in Anaheim where Disney is (and Knotts across the street basically), while a little further away in Irvine or Tustin gas goes up to $3.30-$3.40. Would think they'd be price gouging the tourists but (thankfully) guess not.

California gas prices always interest me cause there will be a random gas station (usually an Arco or United Oil) with gas much cheaper than others nearby.

Here in the Charlotte area, a cluster of stations in a half mile radius pretty much have the exact same price. But each cluster will usually differentiate by about 5 cents or so. The big difference is Charlotte's South Carolina suburbs. Last Friday, I got gas literally 500 yards from the Charlotte, NC city limits in Lake Wylie, SC for $1.91, with gas in Charlotte running about $2.30. SC's gas tax is always one of the lowest in the nation.
