There is a thread about the big ants, but I have the little, small ants.
I have tried the torro ant killer, and other contraptions...did not work!
Any suggestions?

Amdro Ant Lock. We bought it at Home Depot. You put it all around the outside of your house. It worked for us. Good luck.

If those are the little ones that run around in seemingly random patterns, good luck. They are in south Florida and are called crazy ants. Eradication is temporary at best. Terro was the only thing that made a dent. Cucumber peels and the other folk remedies are worthless against them.

Those ants are driving us crazy, especially with all the rain that we are having. I have Terro, which seems to either work well or not at all. I'll have to look for the Ant Block Bait by AMDRO today.

Thanks!

post back if it works, central florida also has them, and we have a bug guy
however, the rain seems to drive them in. I tried terro, however, it did not work, I squirt them with water and soap, however, I hate these critters.

Terro has a bunch of different products and forms to administer. I would suggest trying them again because they are the only thing that worked for me with the small ants.

Are they very small blck ants-called sugar ants. You need to find where they are getting in. some times they come in one place and go several rooms until tehy find the kitchen. that what they are loking for -food .They often travel in the walls along romex wirng. Remove some switch covers you might see some.

I swear by Terro! I had ants everywhere when I bought this house in '07, never ending battle outside because of the sandy soil (close to Lake Michigan)!

I cut up playing cards and put the gel everywhere it does work. My little mud room porch was a disaster but haven't seen any ants lately. Outside I use the spray foam with long straw applicator. I had ants on my sidewalk along the garage wall and they haven't been back but it is an ongoing battle.

We have had them as well off and on and seem to get them every year. They have been really bad at times. Right now we are in a lull. I did see one in the downstairs bathroom last night, but at least it was one and not hundreds.
