Hey all - I'm hoping someone can help me identify this plant. I have attached a photo. I purchased them from Lowe's and they no longer have them in stock. Please let me know if you know what this is. They are beautiful and I want to track down some more!

Well...happy to say I learned something new today. Never seen them or heard of them. Are they usually sold as house plants? I don't pay too much attention to house plants anymore.

Yeah definitely something in the ginger family. I just spent the last 15 minutes looking at various gingers. Weird timing.

This site has a ton of them. http://www.alohatropicals.com/Gingers.html

I have a small edible ginger that just sprouted from some grocery store root. Some turmeric and greater galangal as well.

Check the link I gave to Tony's discussion on the whole group of Curcuma: Curcuma for sale, Buy Curcuma, Buy Hidden Cone Ginger for sale, Spring-flowering, Perennial, plants In it are a few that that he sells that will make it in your zone. It might be something that you can check out at the upcoming Open House.
